Helmut Hanika learned from his Grandfather the construction of violins and later became entirely devoted to building guitars. Helmut started his own workshop in 1953 and later his son Armin Hanika joined the workshop in 1980. Armin passed his master craftsman examinations in 1987 and has been running the shop since 1994. Armin's dedication and obsession to achieve the best sound and playability, has led to a level of perfection and sound quality widely recognized in the guitar world. Today Hanika brand is synonymous with high quality guitars and are in the hands of great players around the world.

Hanika 56PF: Back and ribs made from high-quality light Palo Escrito rosewood (Mexico) and a soundboard made from high-quality spruce wood. The combination of Palo Escrito, a particularly light and expressive tonewood, and cedar wood means that this model delivers good attack and a full sound. This model is visually attractive with its back and ribs in a high-gloss finish and silk-matt varnished spruce soundboard.

The beautifully structured tonewood paired with the curved bridge made from east Indian rosewood and the rosewood-maple-rosewood head plate constitute visual highlights on this guitar.

Made from solid tonewoods, this guitar comes with high-quality Teflon-mounted ‘Rubner Gold Tuning Machines’ and bushed holes. Other quality features include the cedro neck that has been laminated throughout with hardwood, the ebony fretboard and bridge saddle made from hard bone material. The asymmetrical HANIKA fan bracing in spruce is responsible for best sound and stability here.
