Helmut Hanika learned from his Grandfather the construction of violins and later became entirely devoted to building guitars. Helmut started his own workshop in 1953 and later his son Armin Hanika joined the workshop in 1980. Armin passed his master craftsman examinations in 1987 and has been running the shop since 1994. Armin's dedication and obsession to achieve the best sound and playability, has led to a level of perfection and sound quality widely recognized in the guitar world. Today Hanika brand is synonymous with high quality guitars and are in the hands of great players around the world.

Hanika 54PF: Back and ribs made from high-quality east Indian rosewood and a soundboard made from high-quality spruce wood. The combination of rosewood, the most universal tonewood for guitars, and spruce wood means that this model delivers good attack and a full sound. The matt-varnish finish with closed pores optimises this instrument's sound.
Made from solid tonewoods, this guitar comes with high-quality Teflon-mounted ‘Rubner Gold Tuning Machines’ and bushed holes. Other quality features include the cedro neck that has been laminated throughout with hardwood, the ebony fretboard and bridge saddle made from hard bone material. The asymmetrical HANIKA fan bracing in spruce is responsible for best sound and stability here.
