Helmut Hanika learned from his Grandfather the construction of violins and later became entirely devoted to building guitars. Helmut started his own workshop in 1953 and later his son Armin Hanika joined the workshop in 1980. Armin passed his master craftsman examinations in 1987 and has been running the shop since 1994. Armin's dedication and obsession to achieve the best sound and playability, has led to a level of perfection and sound quality widely recognized in the guitar world. Today Hanika brand is synonymous with high quality guitars and are in the hands of great players around the world.
From Hanika's Professional line, the natural Lattice is an impressive classical guitar by any standard. This model has a more traditional rosette made from Ziricote heart and sap wood, solid spruce top with a latticed dome vaulted soundboard, solid east Indian Rosewood back and sides, C-1mm profile Spanish cedar neck double barred throughout with African Blackwood, African Blackwood fingerboard, rosewood/maple/Makassar headstock - front and back with decorative cutout, rosewood bridge with 12 hole tie block, bone saddle, African Blackwood binding front and back, thin lacquer/wax sealed finish and top quality Nicoló Ales tuners with ebony keys. Scale length 650mm, neck width 52mm, markers on 5th and 7th frets, 20 frets.
